Frequently Asked Questions

For this 15-day expedition, we typically utilize the Machame Route (often called the "Whiskey Route") or the Lemosho Route. You will spend 7 to 8 days on the mountain, which is the ideal duration for proper acclimatization, significantly increasing your chances of successfully reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895m).

Mount Kilimanjaro is a "trekking mountain," meaning no technical climbing equipment (like ropes or ice axes) is required. However, it is physically demanding due to the high altitude and long hiking days. You should be in good physical condition and have experience with multi-day hiking. Our professional guides, porters, and cooks handle all heavy lifting and camp setup to support you.

After descending the mountain, you will explore Tanzania’s "Northern Circuit," including the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, and Lake Manyara. You have a high probability of seeing the "Big Five" (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), as well as cheetahs, giraffes, hippos, and the massive wildebeest herds of the Great Migration (depending on the season).

On the mountain, you will sleep in high-quality four-season tents at designated campsites. Once the safari begins, the accommodation shifts to a mix of comfort lodges and tented camps located either inside or just outside the national parks, providing hot showers, comfortable beds, and full-service dining.

You only need to carry a small daypack with essentials (water, rain gear, snacks) during the hike. Our porters will carry your main duffel bag (limited to 15kg). Any safari-specific gear or clean clothes not needed for the mountain can be safely stored at our base hotel in Arusha or Moshi and will be waiting for you in the safari vehicle when you descend.
