Frequently Asked Questions

This itinerary is designed as a self-drive adventure, giving you the freedom to explore Kenya's iconic parks at your own pace. However, we provide a fully equipped 4x4 vehicle with a rooftop tent and can assist with route planning and campsite recommendations.

Public campsites (like those in Hell’s Gate or Amboseli) usually offer basic amenities such as pit latrines and water, and often do not require prior booking. Special campsites are more secluded, offer no facilities (you must be fully self-sufficient), and require advance reservations through the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS).

Yes. To safely navigate the rugged terrain of the Maasai Mara and the vast plains of Tsavo East, a 4x4 vehicle with high ground clearance is essential. Our rental vehicles are specifically outfitted for these conditions and include rooftop tents for safe, elevated sleeping.

Absolutely. During your stay at the Kimana Public Campsite or within Amboseli National Park (Day 7-8), you will have some of the best views of Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, especially during early morning and late afternoon game drives.

Park entry fees for Kenyan National Parks are typically paid via the eCitizen portal or at the gate using cashless methods (M-Pesa or credit card). We recommend setting up your eCitizen account before Day 1 to ensure a smooth transition into Lake Naivasha and Hell’s Gate.
