Tanzania wildlife safari with Zanzibar beach

visit Tanzania, and possibly rent a 4×4 car with (rooftop or loose) tent and camping gear, to save costs.

would like to pick up the car in Arusha or Moshi and return the car in Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar.

Part of the trip will be safari’s. These, we want to do ourselves or with a guide (book game drive via camping/lodge when possible)

Day 1 & 2 – Travel/chill days

Day 3 till 10 – Climb Kilimanjaro

Machame gate

Elevation 1800m, vegetation none montane forest from machame gate to. Machame Camp: 11km walking for 5hrs, Shira Cave Camp walking 16km for 11hrs, Lava tower walking 23km for 15hrs, arrow glacier walking25km for 16:30hrs , Baranco walking 20km for 17hrs, Karanga walking 31km for 21hrs, Barafu camp walking 35km for 25hrs, and Uhuru peak 10km for 32hrs which is the top of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 11 – Pick up 4×4-car in Arusha or Moshi and sleep in Arusha or Moshi

Day 12 – Karatu Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Day 13 – Game drive crater and continue to Serengeti

Day 14 – Safari day Serengeti

Day 15 – Safari day Serengeti

Day 16 – Lake Manyara

Day 17 – Morning game drive lake, after that continue to West-Kilimanjaro

Day 18 – Lushoto

Day 19 – Lushoto

Day 20 – Tanga

Day 21 – Tanga

Day 22 – Kigombe beach or Ushongo bay

Day 23 – Kigombe beach or Ushongo bay

Day 24 – Bagamoyo

Day 25 – City tour in the morning, after that to Dar es Salaam (option to return car here?)

Day 26 – Ferry to Zanzibar

Day 27 – Zanzibar

Day 28 – Zanzibar

Day 29 – Zanzibar (option to return car here?)

Day 30 – Flight back home from Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam
